Inspiration
Except being always outdoors, mainly hiking, but also trail running or biking, I love to make huge bowl of popcorn and watch a good movie or read a book in the evening.
Here are some tips for passive adventure and some everlasting good movies and books about outdoors (my very favourites):
- “Wild” – with Reese Witherspoon; hiking as one of the greatest resets in our lives
- “Into the wild” – biographical adventure drama, the hunt after finding happiness, which still makes me cry when I hear my favourite song “Society”. The whole soundtrack is just awesome from Eddie Vedder, singer from Pearl Jam btw! Here you go in case you prefer a book.
- “Valley uprising” about climbing culture in Yosemite
- “Reinhold Messner” documentary on Netflix
- “Born to Run” by Christopher McDougall – incredible book, which makes me think if we really need all the special hi-tech gear to be able to reach our limits faster and without injuries.
- Dean Karnazes “Ultramarathon Man: Confessions of an All-Night Runner” – super inspiring about how to get through physical and mental ups & downs. And believe me, you don’t have to be an ultra trial runner to enjoy this book.
And I’m still searching for a good book in order to be able to prepare healthy snacks for my hikes and trail runs. So feel free to share some recommendations! I will appreciate it.
